We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to provide clinical leadership within a defined area of responsibility in our Operating Department.

About You

  • RN Child (RSCN) or RN or ODP diploma of higher education orequivalent theatre related qualification
  • Educated to degree level or clear equivalent experience in atheatre leadership role
  • Paediatric Life Support Qualification

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Clinical Manger for Theatre some of your responsibilities will include:

o Lead and support staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care

o Collaborate with fellow clinical leads to oversee day-to-day operational management

o Ensure the efficient use of staff and resources, contributing to a safe and effective surgical environment

o Line Management (Approx. 9 people) Clinical 50% (including bleep holding and clinical sessions) Audit Lead Medicine and Gastro Lead Health and Safety Lead Decontamination Lead Sustainability Lead IPC

o Undertake on call as necessary to the service

o Management of a designated area ensuring effective utilisation of resources, use of safe practice, adherence to Trust policies and procedures.
