We have an excellent opportunity within our friendly department for an enthusiastic and highly motivated technician to join our team.
This post involves monthly rotation with Dispensary and Aseptics. With some Medicines Management and ward cover when necessary
We are developing our Band 4 roles in line with the GPhC's new initial education and training requirements for Pharmacy Technicians. Applicants who qualified before June2022 will be supported with opportunities to upskill and meet these updated standards.

About You
- Pharmacy Technician registered with the GPhC
- Capable of effectively planning, prioritising, and managing tasks to meet deadlines
- Accuracy Checking Qualification, or willing to work towards
Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Appropriate Senior Pharmacy Technician, some of your responsibilities will include:
- In the Aseptic unit you will participate in the preparation of CIVAs, cytotoxic medicine and TPN.
- You will also assist in ensuring the cleaning and monitoring of the suite is maintained at an appropriate level.
- In the Dispensary you will contribute to the dispensing of prescription items for in-patients, some out-patients and discharge requests.
- You will also provide support to the medicines management service including patient's own drug usage schemes.
