We are looking for an experienced Paediatric Nurse with a background in Oncology and Haematology to join our team for 12 months. This offers you the chance to progress and enhance your skills within a supportive clinical environment.
The unit includes a 16-bed inpatient facility, 9-bed Day Care Unit, and a busy outpatient clinic. The multidisciplinary team features Bone Marrow Transplant, Apheresis, Paediatric Oncology Outreach, Late Effects, Haemophilia, and Non-Malignant Haematology Services.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Day Care Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Take charge of the Unit, allocate patients, and manage daily tasks.

Provide skilled nursing care to patients

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to facilitate seamless patient care.

Support and act as a role model to junior staff

Help the Unit Manager manage the department, including maintaining clinical governance and resource management

Deputise for the Unit Manager and represent them at meetings
