Fixed Term 12 Months | Full-time

We are looking for someone to join our Patient Access Team, where you will help support our patients and their families with attending Neurodisability/Autism Assessment appointments. The Patient Access Team is new, with the potential to expand and become an essential part of the outpatient department.

You will contact families, ensuring appointment attendance, coordinating additional support like transport, and maintaining a professional clerical service. You will also ensure appointments are scheduled according to the Trust's standards, meeting set goals, and providing support during colleague absences.

About You

  • Educated to GCSE standard, or equivalent experience

  • Have admin or reception experience gained in a public-facing environment.

  • Be competent with IT and keyboard skills.

  • Able manage a busy workload and prioritise tasks

  • Align with Trust values

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Outpatient Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Contact families to discuss and confirm upcoming appointments.

  • Provide support to patients and families, ensuring they can attend outpatient appointments.

  • Coordinate and arrange additional support, including transport for patients.

  • Contribute to the efficient delivery of clerical services for Outpatient Clinics, assisting patients, families, and colleagues.

  • Ensure appointments are scheduled following the Trust's outpatient waiting time standards and Patient Access Policy.

  • Meet required quality and quantity standards, achieving Trust and departmental KPIs and deadlines.

  • Offer coverage for colleagues during absences to maintain service continuity.
