An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our dedicated Paediatric MRI Department in Sheffield. We operate two MRI scanners on site: a GE Optima 1.5T and an Intra-Operative Philips Ingenia 3T.

You'll be part of a dynamic multi-disciplinary team delivering high-quality diagnostic services to children across South Yorkshire and surrounding areas. We're looking for someone with strong communication and organisational skills, a commitment to CPD, and a growing understanding of MRI safety and health regulations.

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the MRI Lead Radiographer your responsibilities will include:

o Deliver high-quality paediatric MR imaging at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust. Perform specialised paediatric MRI scans within departmental guidelines and MR Regulations.o Maintain a supportive, child-friendly hospital environment during imaging.o Work in line with MR policies, codes of practice, and professional standards.o Support MRI services across neurosurgery, oncology, abdominal, vascular, forensic, and musculoskeletal specialities.o Join the on-call MRI rota (evenings/weekends) after training, as part of the hospital's trauma centre service.

Qualifications

Essential

  • HCPC registration.
  • DCR(R) / BSc (Hons) Degree in Radiography or recognised equivalent.
  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including reflective practice and attendance at recent, relevant courses
  • Training in MR imaging
  • Evidence of attending specialist courses / lectures in MRI

Desirable

  • Evidence of CPD aimed at paediatric radiology imaging.
  • Previous NHS experience in MRI
  • Post graduate certificate in MR cross sectional imaging.

Experience

Essential

  • Evidence of interest / experience in working in paediatric radiography.
