We're looking for a Senior Staff Nurse to join us in our busy Outpatient Department. You will be a dynamic, supportive, and team-focused individual, who will provide high-quality care to our patients.
Experience in the specialty is desirable, but not essential. Sites include working at the acute site, as well a Ryegate Assessment Unit, Centenary and NGH.In 2026 we will be welcoming the new building called NCCHT under our remit and you will be able to be part of that development.
As a Senior Staff Nurse, you will support the team in delivering high-quality patient care in an Outpatient Setting, ensuring patient safety, appropriate staffing, and the development of junior staff in the form of appraisals and sickness reviews.

Degree or Diploma Level Education as a Registered Nurse (RN Child, RNLD, or RSCN)

Current registration with NMC

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Ward Manager, your responsibilities will include:

Deliver patient care in a vast array of specialties using Outpatients

Provide support and supervision to junior members of staff

Lead the team on a shift basis, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and skill mix

Support the Ward Manager in developing the department, including representing them at meetings and deputising in their absence

Promote and ensure patient safety across the unit
