An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Research and Innovation Team at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as an Information Analyst, initially as a secondment.

You will be a compassionate, accountable individual who treats all colleagues, patients and service users with respect and seeks to deliver excellence in their role. You will share the Trust values and be committed to equality, diversity and inclusion.

You will be a key member of the R&I Team, who are responsible for the provision of high quality information for performance and operational management, strategic planning and delivery of our new NIHR Commercial Research Delivery Centre

You will have specialised technical and analytical skills, along with a good knowledge and experience of working with NHS data sets, understanding Information Standards and performance targets.

Main duties of the job

Reporting into the Commercial Research Delivery Centre Manager , some of your responsibilities will include

  • To provide an analytical and reporting for Research and Innovation and specifically the CRDC. Areas of data that will be analysed will include Trust research activity around our set up and delivery times for commercial research, income and activity.
  • Respond to ad-hoc requests for information as directed presenting the information in a meaningful and appropriate format.
  • Develop and provide reports demonstrating the directorates performance for internal/external audiences.
  • Submission of accurate and timely information national/external returns to required bodies such as the NIHR

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent experience in an Information role.
  • ECDL holder or ability to demonstrate ability to use a wide range of hardware and software in order to effectively carry out the role
