Permanent | 22.5hrs per week | Hybrid

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Critical Care Unit at Sheffield Children's as a Data Inputting Clerk. PCCU provides care for children aged 0-16 (and occasionally up to 18) requiring acute, chronic, or critical care. You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering seamless, holistic care.

You'll play an important role in the PCCU Audit Team. You'll extract and input clinical information from patient case notes into relevant databases, maintain non-clinical datasets, and support data-driven decision-making across the Trust and wider networks. You'll also offer expert guidance on data inputting to clinical and management staff.

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Compassionate, accountable, and respectful

  • IT literate with accurate keyboard skills

  • Experienced in data inputting and familiar with medical terminology

  • Professional when handling confidential information

Main duties of the job

Reporting to the PCCU Audit Lead, your responsibilities will include:

  • Input clinical and non-clinical data accurately and efficiently

  • Maintain PCCU databases

  • Support audit, research, and commissioning processes

  • Communicate with clinical and management teams

  • Uphold confidentiality and data protection standards
