Fixed Term: 12 months | Full-time | Open only to internal applicants from Embrace or SCH Critical Care
Embrace is a specialist, 24/7 transport service dedicated to the safe transfer of critically ill infants and children within Yorkshire, the Humber, and beyond. Handling over 3,400 referrals annually, our expert teams provide essential clinical care, transferring more than 2,200 patients by road and air.
We are looking for someone to join our dynamic team. You will be an important member of our team providing assessment, management, and transport of critically ill neonates and children. This role may involve rotation between a lead critical care unit and the Neonatal and Paediatric Transport Service.
About You:

Registered nurse on NMC Part 1, 8, or 15

Relevant specialist qualification (e.g., ENB100/415/405/160/R23 or equivalent)

Experience at Band 6 (or equivalent) in a Critical Care setting

Up-to-date transport environment experience
Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Lead Nurse, your responsibilities will include:

Deliver expert clinical care to critically ill infants and children during transfer

Provide nursing leadership, support, and advice to the team

Ensure family-centred care remains a priority throughout the transfer process

Be a clinical role model and resource for colleagues and families

Promote staff development and foster innovation in patient care

Contribute to research and evidence-based practice improvements

- Relevant specialist qualification (ENB100/415/405/160/R23) or equivalent
- Evidence of undertaking APLS/EPLS /NLS courses
- A relevant first degree or working towards
- Evidence of on-going, dynamic continuing professional development within the specialty, linked to demonstrable clinical competencies
Desirable
- Willingness to undertake or be underway with a Masters level qualification
Experience
