We're looking for an experienced nurse to join our team, supporting vulnerable children and young people across the Youth Justice and Youth Navigation services.

In this impactful role, you'll assess and address the health needs of those at risk of criminality and violence--empowering them towards safer, healthier futures.

As a Specialist Nurse, you'll work autonomously, delivering tailored interventions (including Your Stance), leading health assessments, and collaborating with multi-agency teams to reduce violence and promote wellbeing through the Healthy Child Programme.

What You'll Bring:

  • Registered Nurse qualification with current NMC registration

  • Experience supporting vulnerable children and young people

  • Skilled in building trusted relationships with young people

Main duties of the job

You will report to the Named Nurse for Children Looked After, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Conduct health assessments and identify unmet health needs

  • Deliver personalised, trauma-informed interventions

  • Support delivery of the Your Stance and violence reduction programmes

  • Collaborate with Youth Justice, Youth Navigation and Children Looked After teams

  • Contribute to multi-agency risk assessments and safeguarding plans

  • Provide 1:1 and group nurse-led sessions with a focus on health promotion

  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development

  • Travel to work across citywide services and with regional partners

  • Registered Nurse, registration with NMC
  • Degree in Nursing relative to either: Children and Young People / Public Health / Specialist Community Public Health / Nursing, Health Visiting or School Nursing / Community Nursing Specialist qualification
