Nursing Associate - Respiratory

The closing date is 04 August 2025

Job summary

Permanent | 28 hrs per week

We're looking for an enthusiastic, motivated Nursing Associate to join our specialist Respiratory Nursing Team. This is a fantastic chance to develop specialist skills in a supportive team environment.

You will deliver care across hospital, outpatient, and home settings. Working with registered nurses, fellow nursing associates, and medical staff, you will support consultant- and nurse-led clinics, contribute to audit and service review, and provide high-quality, individualised care to children and young people with respiratory conditions.

This is a unique opportunity to work in an evolving specialty where Nursing Associates are already well established, bridging the gap between direct patient care and specialist support.

What You'll Need:

  • Foundation Degree in Nursing Associate Studies

  • Current NMC Registration

  • Confidence in providing compassionate, patient-centred care

  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced clinical environment

Main duties of the job

You will report to the Department Manager, and your responsibilities will include:

  • Deliver safe and compassionate care under the leadership of registered nurses

  • Support respiratory outpatient clinics alongside consultants and nurses

  • Participate in multidisciplinary team discussions and patient reviews

  • Engage in audits and contribute to the review of patient care

  • Support new starters and student learners (post-preceptorship)

  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement programmes
