  • Provide anaesthetic services to accommodate service expansion, consultant cover and flexibility, and to cover consultants who have been on call or are on leave.

  • On-call responsibilities include providing consultant support for the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit for difficult airway issues, and cover for the consultant covering intensive care when they are busy.

  • There may be opportunity for those with appropriate qualifications to take on additional PICU responsibilities.
