We're looking for a Senior Audiologist to to become part of our committed and skilled team at Sheffield Children's. As an IQIPS accredited centre, we provide high-quality care in Paediatric Audiology and rehabilitation (excluding cochlear implantation).
Our team includes Audiologists, Apprentices, Scientists, an Educational Audiologist, a Specialist Health Visitor, and a Specialist Paediatrician. Together, we offer a holistic service with a focus on professional development for all staff. This role is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your experience in paediatric audiology.
You'll have the chance to work with a range of hearing aids, including bone-anchored hearing devices, and contribute to services such as paediatric balance assessment and complex listening difficulties clinics. As well as direct clinical care, we also run a comprehensive audit programme, supporting staff to contribute to service development.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Chief Audiologist, your responsibilities will include:
Clinical Practice

Perform full range of audiological diagnostics and rehabilitation in paediatric audiology (Tester 1 & 2 roles).

Work off-site (e.g., outreach clinics, theatre, schools).

Be responsible for decisions on direct referrals.

Conduct clinical audits and contribute to research.

Assess referrals per departmental guidelines.

Help with annual calibration of audiological equipment.

Work in the audiologist-led grommet clinic.
Management
-
Lead a specific area within the department (e.g., training, audit, outreach clinics, ENT, scheduling).

Support training for staff and students

Help maintain IQIPS accreditation.
