Specialist Community Public Health Nurse (SCPHN) Student School Nurse
Hybrid role - 12 months fixed term - Full Time
Become a part of Sheffield Children's and join our 0-19 School Nursing Service, where you will help deliver the Healthy Child Programme to children, young people, and families. You'll collaborate with other agencies to enhance and safeguard health and well-being throughout the community.

The position is subject to securing funding.
Please note the salary for this position will be capped at the mid-point of Band 5, up to £32,324 per year
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the Practice Assessor, Practice Supervisor, and Course Leader, under supervision you will:

Assess and identify health needs with individuals, families, and communities
-
Support and empower individuals, families and communities to improve their health.

Deliver evidence-based care in a range of settings.

Continuously evaluate and review health related care packages with service users and other professionals.
As a Student School Nurse you will:

Complete University-based learning as part of the Sheffield Hallam University SCPHN course.

Complete practice-based learning to meet NMC standards for specialist practice.

Build healthcare knowledge with a focus on disadvantaged and vulnerable communities.

Develop skills to provide safe and transformational care within the 0-19 Service.
