Specialty Doctor in Child Looked After Health Service (CLAHS)
2 PAs, Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and innovative Child Looked After Health Service (CLAHS). We are looking for a passionate and dedicated doctor to help provide high-quality health assessments for children looked after, and adult medical assessment reviews for foster carers and prospective adopters.
This permanent position offers 2 PAs and is ideal for someone looking to add to an existing clinical role. You will play an important part in ensuring children looked after receive the best possible care.

Main duties of the job
Reporting into the Clinical Team Leader, your responsibilities will include:

Undertake health assessments and complete reports for children looked after

Deliver CLAHS clinics

Complete adult health assessment reports from examinations undertaken by GPs for prospective carers, for Sheffield City Council Fostering services and for the Regional Adoption Agency.

Maintain continuing responsibility for the patients in your care and for the smooth functioning of the department.

- MBBS or equivalent
- Full registration with GMC with licence to practice
- Clinical training relevant to Paediatrics
Desirable
- Relevant higher degree e.g. MSc, MD or other higher degree
- DCH, DCCH, MBA or other relevant diplomas
- MRCPCH, MRCGP or equivalent
- Sheffield Neurodisability MSc
Experience

- Postgraduate training, including paediatrics or relevant speciality
- Experience of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working
- Experience of safeguarding children

- Experience in other areas relevant to Community Child Health, e.g. General Practice, paediatric neurodisability including assessment and management of children with social communication disorders, child mental health, public health
