This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced design and construction programme manager to lead on our flagship strategic 'new build project', the NCCHT at Sheffield Olympic legacy park. The postholder will lead on the development of detailed architectural and engineering design, procurement, construction though to commissioning and ultimately completion.
The final plans and specifications are to be developed through multi-disciplinary engagement with internal and external service users and professional leads to RIBA plan of work stage 4 (Royal institute of British architects). The successful applicant will act as the senior officer for this specialist work stream supporting the Trusts wider appointed programme/project leads. Reporting into the monthly programme board.

Main duties of the job
- Lead and establish the programme of delivery for the Trust's National centre for child health and technology (NCCHT) on construction design, procurement and build programme.
- Be an active member of the Trust's senior leadership team, flexible in style and approach, working with colleagues (internal and external to the Trust), to create a positive and engaging culture.
- Identify opportunities for the inclusion of new technologies to deliver efficiencies and lifecycle cost savings.
- Develop strategies to deliver 'Carbon net zero' buildings, aligned to Trust purpose and objectives.
- Represent the Trust in external discussions with project / programme leads from partner organisations such as Sheffield City council, the Olympic Legacy Park, planners, NHSE/I and patient / family liaison groups, negotiating positive outcomes aligned to Trust objectives where applicable.

- A demonstrable breadth of knowledge and experience in dealing with highly complex construction project / programme issues where specialist expertise is essential (e.g. Planning , building , safety law). In particular where critical processes are dependent on the alignment of multiple but interdependent workstreams and / or specialities. (Examples - Planning, budgets, construction, structural, Engineering, quantity surveyors and cost advisors)
