We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic well motivated qualified Pharmacy Technicianto join our friendly, supportive and welcoming pharmacy team .
This role is an ideal opportunity for an experienced, registered Pharmacy Technician who has excellent dispensing and communication skills,to develop their skills and knowledge.
You will need to have experience of providing ward based medicines management services as a Registered Pharmacy Technician. We will support the successful candidate with their introduction into this role, and with their future professional development.
The successful candidate must be a Pharmacy Technician registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council. They will have excellent interpersonal skills, be good at managing their time, be flexible in their approach to work and be an excellent team player. They will already hold an Accredited Checking Qualification.
Main duties of the job
- Rotational post where the post holder will work in various areas of the Pharmacy including Ward based Medicines Management, Warfarin clinic and Dispensary
- Participate in the full ward based medicines management service.
- Hosts warfarin 'Point of Care' Testing and dosing clinics on a rotational basis.
- Responsible for the final checking of dispensed products
- Support and deputise for the Lead Pharmacy Technicians
- Supervise, mentor and train a range of junior staff
