Job summary
This post is designed to allow expansion of our middle grade tier to meet the increasing demand our Neurology Department, like many others, is facing. We hope the posts will attract Neurology Doctors with the following backgrounds:
1.Established specialty doctors looking to work in a high-performing, friendly and cohesive team
2. General Medicine trainees who feel a move to being a non-trainee would provide a better work-life balance with no more moving hospitals and the possibility to put down roots.
Post-holders will be eligible for up to 10 days of study leave per year plus study budget.
Non-clinical time is included in the weekly Rota.
As a member of our middle grade tier, each post holder will be expected to work an average of 10 PAs per week Monday - Friday (0900 - 1700) but flexible working patterns will be considered.

Main duties of the job
In pursuing these duties, the post holder will ensure compliance with the NHS Constitution and be familiar with the NHS England Guidance 'Understanding the new NHS'.
The post is based in the Neurology Department at Airedale General Hospital.
The post holder/s will be responsible to the Neurology consultants and will be expected to:
1. Out-patient clinics (with supervision from consultants when need)
2.Ward referrals
3. In-patient reviews
*There are no on-call commitments in this post*
The post-holder undertakes exceptionally to perform additional duties in occasional emergencies and unforeseen circumstances essential to the continuity of patient care.
