An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic orthopaedic team as anAdvanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) specialising in Lower Limbconditions - specifically for the Acute Knee Clinic,working 7.5 hours per week.
As an APP, you will work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, delivering expert assessment, diagnosis, and management of complex musculoskeletal presentations. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading the knee pathway across Airedale and Skipton sites, working closely with orthopaedic consultants and therapy colleagues.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
- Work closely with medical and nursing Orthopaedic colleagues to ensure high quality patient care.
- Be accountable for the quality and safety of advanced and highly skilled assessment and management of patients with a variety of complex, acute and chronic orthopaedic presentations.
- Have a key role in promoting the integration of physiotherapy services within an orthopaedic context.
- Be prepared to work flexibly in terms of time and workload to meet service needs.
- Be professionally accountable but will have access to clinical supervision from a senior clinical practitioner.
- Take a role in overseeing the physiotherapy rehabilitation of patients presenting with more complex lower limb problems
- To oversee the development of the physiotherapy provision for lower limb pathologies across the trusts patch.

- MSc in an appropriate related area or equivalent level of training.

- Certificate in Managing Health Services or equivalent

- Qualification in Independent Prescribing.
- Qualification in the administration of joint and soft tissue injections.
