Job summary
We're seeking an experienced and motivated midwife to lead in the development and delivery of Maternity clinical education. This role will ensure the delivery of the Core Competency Framework V2 and Maternity Incentive Scheme, Safety Action 8. The post holder will ensure a high standard of training provision and be accountable for the service training compliance. The post holder will work alongside the Maternity Team Leaders and other specialist services to drive forward quality improvement initiatives. This role will provide assurance of learning from incidents and include the service user voice within all training programmes. The post holder will attend national, LMNS and local meetings relevant to clinical education and disseminate findings and actions to relevant stakeholders.
Main duties of the job
Ensure a high quality Maternity training programme
Accountable lead for delivery of the Core Competency Framework V2.
Accountable lead for Maternity Incentive Scheme, Safety Action 8.
Support staff in enhancing their skills in reducing risk within clinical practice.
To maintain accurate records of training compliance across all elements of training and ensure appropriate escalation is the required level of compliance is not achieved.
To provide assurance of learning from incidents.
To ensure the service user voice is reflected in all aspects of training.
To drive forward quality improvement in the clinical areas through practical and theoretical teaching.
To work collaboratively with ward managers to support individualised training needs for staff when appropriate in the clinical areas.
