Our new £4 million UTC opened in July 2024. We are looking for a GP to work in the unit, seeing primary care presentations as well as a wider range of patients with minor injury and ambulatory illness.
We are looking for friendly and enthusiastic primary care colleagues to join our popular and well-regarded team.
You will be on the Performers List and will have ongoing work in Primary Care enabling you to maintain your Performers List status. You will have recent significant experience in Emergency Medicine You will be keen to learn and to expand your scope of practice beyond Primary Care presentations.
Main duties of the job
The shifts will initially be 1300 to 2100 though this may change as the unit develops. Some weekend working will be required.
In order that the postholder(s) are able to work in primary care and also maintain their Performer's List status the posts will be less than full time. It is envisaged that the post holder would work one or two shifts per week in the UTC and the remainder of their time in primary care. You will be supported with appropriate supervision and training and have access to paid study leave.
