Job summary
Reporting to the Executive Director of Corporate Affairs the postholder will:o Lead on specific areas and programmes of work within thecorporate governance team.o Maintain and improve assurance processes within theTrust and identifying and implementing opportunities toenhance them.o Provide leadership to the Trust's Executive Support Managerand the team, ensuring that team members are supported anddeveloped to deliver a high-quality service which meets theneeds of Executive Directors. This will involve linemanagement of members of the team.
Main duties of the job
Ensure that the Trust complies with its legal, constitutional, andregulatory requirements and those enforced by NHS regulators,including NHS England and the Care Quality Commission.o Oversee the delivery of an annual well-led self-assessmentexercise including the collection, collation and storage of allrelevant evidence (master file) in collaboration with the otherappropriate directorates.o Oversee implementation of, and report on the Trust'scompliance with specific corporate governance requirements,acting where necessary to strengthen processes andprocedures, and enhance compliance.o Provide advice to corporate teams and to implement effectivecorporate governance processes.o Manage budgets within the corporate governance portfolio,covering a range of different areas of work.o To cross cover for the Head of Corporate Governance, ensuringeffective delivery of the corporate secretariat function andrequirements in periods of absence or other such times as agreed
