Job summary

We would welcome applications from doctors taking a break from training following completion of foundation training (either because you are out of phase, planning to take a break for part of the year or looking for some alternative experience prior to deciding/commencing specialty training). Less than full time (LTFT) applications will be considered but this will normally require a proportionate share of out of hours shifts unless stated otherwise.

We currently have opportunities in Intensive Care Medicine to commence August 2024. The post will be primarily covering general duties on the Critical Care Unit but with an opportunity to gain experience of anaesthesia in general theatres.

Main duties of the job

Our expectations of you would be that you will:

Have already completed 2 years of postgraduate Foundation Training (or equivalent); previous NHS experience would be a definite advantage.
Be able to act at CT/IM/ST 1-2 level and provide supervision and support to junior colleagues.
Have full GMC registration and a licence to practice; please do not apply unless you already have FULL GMC registration
Participate in the normal rota for trainees in the specialty; this would usually include out of hours shifts.
