Job summary
We are looking to recruit an experienced Band 3 Senior Health Care Support Worker to join our nursing team within out busy Pre Operative Assessment Department here at Airedale.
The above hours will be worked across 5 days, currently Monday to Friday to meet the needs of the service. Weekends may be included in the near future.
Previous Pre Operative Assessment experience within a hospital setting would be advantageous, but if you are a dynamic team player and a team leader and up for a challenge of working across a variety of specialities then you could be just the person we are looking for.
Main duties of the job
- To provide care activities under the direction of a registered nurse or registered medical practitioner.
- To participate in the provision of needs and the implementation of programmes of care seeking advice appropriately, undertaking the agreed on going clinical activities e.g. patient clinical observations and investigations e.g. blood pressure measure, height, weight, phlebotomy and ECG recording. For which they have NVQ evidence to prove competence.
- To demonstrate his/her own skills to new or junior members of staff.
- To contribute to the ongoing support of patients, relatives and friends.
