This rewarding role is ideal if you have a passion for supporting people on their rehab' journey. Working as a Therapy Assistant, you would be providing essential support for Therapists and playing an important part in our Stroke and Neuro' rehabilitation service. This exciting role will be shared between working on the Acute Stroke & Rehab' Ward and the Neuro-Outpatient, Amputees and AIRE Unit Team.

Main duties of the job
Generic Therapy Assistants support service areas to assess, plan and implement a range of interventions to improve the functional ability and well-being of individuals and/or groups. The post holder will be responsible for activities delegated to them and will work without direct supervision but will have immediate access to a clinician for advice and direction as required. Generic Assistants are expected to continually improve their knowledge and skills and work collaboratively with therapy and dietetic colleagues to enhance patient care.

Therapy and dietetic teams work with people of all ages and in a wide range of settings including the hospital, outpatient clinics, people's homes, and schools.

We are a national centre for telemedicine and introduced telehealth to the UK offender healthcare sector and also provide the service to patients in their care homes. Support therapists/dietitians with complex cases as required Work with team members to ensure the effective functioning of the team Work in partnership with patients, carers, the multi disciplinary team and wider statutory, private and voluntary sector services. Participate in activities to improve the service area Work flexibly according to patient and service needs
