Job summary
We are looking for a Medical Rota Co-ordinator to join our team at Airedale General Hospital to support the Medical rotas within ED providing support to the central medical rota team as and when required. This will be a 3 month secondment/fixed term contract and the post holder will be located between ED and the central rota team under a temporary arrangement to ensure the post holder is provided with sufficient training and support to undertake the role.
The post holder will assist in the management of Medical Rota's and Rosters for ED to ensure safe and effective rota planning within the framework of the European Working Time Directive (EWTD) and sourcing appropriate cover either through bank or agency as required.
The post holder will support, roster creation, roster administration, roster analysis/ approval, time and attendance, management dashboards, bank module and validating rosters for payroll acting as a first point of contact for clinical/operational teams.
Main duties of the job
The key responsibilities of this role will include carrying out any tasks relating to the resourcing of Medical Staff for a designated specialty, ensuring an efficient process is followed to run an effective Medical Service 24/7, and minimise spend on locums whilst ensuring safe staffing..
The post holder will provide an efficient and high quality rostering data administration service supporting the use and maintenance of electronic rostering throughout the trust including integration with the temporary staffing system.
To deliver staff training and act as first level contact for enquiries from end-users.
