An exciting opportunity has arisen to join an innovative laboratory as a key person who will work alongside laboratory based Biomedical Scientist, advanced Biomedical Scientists, Consultant Haematologist, Clinical Directors and Pathology Service Managers to drive improvements to service.
For the Advanced Biomedical Scientist role a £3,000 recruitment premium is payable to successful candidates upon arrival. We are also able to offer removal and relocation expenses (In line with the trust relocation policy). Please note relocation expenses and the recruitment premium will be paid in line with relevant HMRC guidance.
Applications are invited for the position of Section Manager overseeing Haematology/ Blood Transfusion, the post is primarily based at Bradford Royal Infirmary Pathology Department, but applicants will be required to work at any of the IPS laboratories as required.

Main duties of the job
The section manager will take a lead role within the department and hold responsibility for operational organisation of both departments. The post holder will be expected to work alongside colleagues within IPS to ensure common processes and procedures.

- Biomedical Science degree or equivalent qualification
- HCPC registration as Biomedical Scientist
- Biomedical Science degree or equivalent qualification HCPC registration as Biomedical Scientist Membership of profession body such as IBMS Application form Pre-employment checks IBMS Specialist Portfolio in Haematology or equivalent qualification or experience ( significant Haematology laboratory experience)
- Relevant post graduate qualification conducive with Fellowship of Institute of Biomedical Science Status (MSc)
