Main duties of the job
The post holder will have extensive specialist knowledge of speech, language and communication needs in children between the ages of 0-19 and will share this with colleagues and partners.The role will include providing supervision, training and guidance to practitioners in respect of individual case management and the implementation of evidence-based interventions.Establish effective working relationships with all colleagues, the wider Children's Directorate and key partner agencies within the Wakefield District.To work as an autonomous practitioner managing a defined workload, being professionally and legally responsible and accountable for all aspects of own work.Build and sustain trusted relationships with children, young people and their families.Contribute to the development of protocols, new and updated policy.
