Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Living with Pain and ME/CFS Service department.
The post-holder will support the provision of an efficient and comprehensive secretarial support service to the Clinicians and other medical staff, prioritising work to ensure deadlines are met. To maintain a high standard secretarial service to meet the needs of the clinical team within the Directorate, ensuring successful organisation of workload using time management, whilst remaining calm when responding to changing priorities. The role also includes an administrative role, booking appointments for the service and managing the referrals that are received by the service.
The post-holder must observe and work within the Trust's Confidentiality Policy at all times.
This post is for 30 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
- first point of contact for patient enquiries via phone calls and emails.
- Processing of referrals for the service ensure they are registered and triaged in a timely manner.
- Updating staff ledgers with patient appointment slots for the upcoming year.
- Recording and typing minutes from team meetings.
- Ordering stock for the team and receipting invoices.
- Supporting the team with any queries/requests. General office duties.
