Job summary
We are look to recruit a band 6 Community Dietitian for 30 hours per week to work in our busy Community Dietetics team. If you are looking for a new dietetic opportunity with a good work/life balance then this could be the post for you.
Harrogate dietetics is a small, friendly department of staff based in Harrogate Hospital. We provide a service across both acute and community settings and this role would work across Harrogate and district area.
This Post is for 30 hours per week
Main duties of the job
There is excellent skill mix across the team with both Dietitians and Dietetic Associate Practitioners and the successful candidate will work with colleagues delivering high quality care to patients requiring oral nutrition support and enteral feeding in care facilities , their own homes and at times in community hospitals. This post will include people receiving palliative and best support care .There will also be the opportunity to work with the community team leader to deliver training on the nutrition support care pathway in care homes and other community teams.This is a community-based role so applicants must have a UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purpose

We welcome dietetic students on A, B and C placements largely from Leeds Beckett university and the successful post-holder will be expected to take part in pre-registration training.
To provide specialist dietetic advice, education and support to patients, carers and other health care professionals within the community setting. This will include supporting the Home Enteral Nutrition Service and the Adult Undernutrition Care Pathway.

- UK Registered Dietitian with the Health and Care Professions Council for minimum of 1 year

- Post graduate enteral nutrition experience

- Involvement in audit / research activities
