Job summary
This is an exciting opportunity for a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our supportive and high - performing Adult SLT Team based at Harrogate District Hospital.
The Adult SLT team at Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust provides specialist care for communication and swallowing patients in their own homes, care home settings, outpatient clinics and inpatient settings across Harrogate and the Hambleton & Richmondshire regions. This post is based across both acute and community services, offering a varied and rewarding role. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, partnership working, and making a real difference across care pathways.

Supported by a team of Band 8, Band 7, Band 6's, SLT Assistants and the wider MDT, the post holder will have the opportunity to demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills working across a wide ranging adult caseload.
You will also gain exposure and access to our weekly instrumental assessment services, including Videofluoroscopy and FEES. We are a forward thinking and innovative team with a strong focus on well-being in the work place.
Main duties of the job
- Assessment and treatment of adult patients with communication and swallowing needs across acute and community settings
- Working closely within MDTs and with the wider SLT team

The post will enable you to continue to develop your specialist skills within a supportive team structure, with regular supervision

Providing support, supervision and training of junior SLTs and/or SLT assistants as required
