Registered Nurse - Heart Centre

Job summary

We are looking for a Band 5 Registered Nurse to work within our small team in the heart centre and alongside the expanding Cardiology department. The Heart Centre carries out coronary angiograms and a variety of cardiac device implants as well as specialist echocardiography services. You will be involved in the preparation of patients for these services, assisting consultants with the procedures, scrubbing within a sterile environment and recovering the patients after the procedures.

Main duties of the job

The new person must be able to demonstrate at interview that they can work well in a small team and also demonstrate an interest and enthusiasm for all things cardiac. You need to have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Informal visits and enquiries to the Unit Manager are strongly encouraged.
