Job summary
Supporting the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists with the rehabilitation patients on Granby Stroke Unit by performing hands on interventions and any relevant administrative duties.
Patients will mostly have a stroke or some other neurological disorders. They will be needing rehabilitation and practise of functional abilities so that they can achieve their potential before going back out into the community to live.
Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a conscientious, forwarding thinking therapy assistant to join our Stroke rehabilitation team on Granby ward, (Monday to Friday.)
The team comprises of physiotherapists and occupational therapists working with patients with complex needs. The role of the assistant is to support the therapists in the assessment, treatment and discharge planning of these patients, back into the community in a timely manner.
It is important that you are organised and can work under pressure, along with having good written and verbal communication skills.
