This post is an exciting opportunity to join the Cumberland 0-19 Team as an Emotional Health & Resilience practitioner, supporting children and young people with mental health & emotional wellbeing difficulties

The Emotional Health and Resilience team are integrated within the Cumberland 0-19 Service providing advice, consultation, and support for to children and families to enable them to address, the mental health and emotional needs of children and young people.

If you are an enthusiastic team player who has experience and understanding of working with children and young people who are struggling with emotional health difficulties and you are passionate to make a difference for the children, young people and families in Cumberland then we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

  • Facilitate resilience and prevention work, and low-level mental health support.

  • Facilitate effective collaboration between all relevant agencies and services to identify and implement the best approach to meet the mental health and emotional wellbeing needs of children and young people.
  • Be professionally accountable and responsible for the care of children and young people, including assessment and provision of time-limited therapeutic interventions. Promoting at all times a positive image of children and young people with emotional and mental health needs.
