Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist with well established experience working with Neurology patients to join our friendly and supportive Adult Speech and Language Therapy team. This role is based in the Community Neurology SLT Team and will involve domiciliary and care home visits, as well as outpatient clinics.

Supported by a team of Band 8, Band 7, Band 6's, SLT Assistants and the wider MDT, the post holder will have the opportunity to demonstrate specialist knowledge and skills working across the Community Neurology Team . You will also gain exposure and access to our weekly instrumental assessment services, including Videofluoroscopy and FEES.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will provide a comprehensive clinical service for inpatients and community/outpatient dysphagia patients within the Harrogate and District area. The role will involve ward cover, outpatient appointments, domiciliary and nursing home visits.
The successful candidate will have knowledge, skills and experience of working with both dysphagia and communication patients across a variety of settings.
To work as part of inpatient and community multidisciplinary teams to maximize the rehabilitation potential of patients. To deliver education and training to patients, carers and other healthcare professionals.
