Job summary
We have a part time vacancy on and are looking for a compassionate and people-centred Ward Clerk to join our fantastic team on Wensleydale Ward. The vacancy will be for to work on a Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm every week.
Wensleydale Ward is the Respiratory and Cardiology Ward at Harrogate Hospital. The ward is fast paced and diverse ward where no 2 days are the same. We look after acutely unwell adults who are most often admitted to us via A&E.
We are looking for someone who can cope well within a rapidly changing environment, who can multi--task and who can handle the often challenging demands of a busy ward whilst retaining a good sense of humour and team spirit.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will:
- Liaise with patients on the ward and their family.
- Have an excellent telephone manner
- Will assist all members of the MDT to perform their roles to the best of their ability.
- Assist in arranging discharge plans for patients.
