Job summary

Harrogate and District Foundation Trust (HDFT) is excited to offer a rare and rewarding opportunity to join the innovative Active Against Cancer service as a Service Admin Assistant. You will play a vital role in supporting the team with administration duties and work closely with the AAC Care Co-ordinator to ensure patients are enrolled in AAC classes and their attendance is accurately recorded.

We're looking for an enthusiastic individual with experience in administrative roles, ideally with some direct patient contact. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, and prior experience working with vulnerable patients and NHS IT systems would be advantageous. Above all, you'll be passionate about supporting patients through their cancer journey.

Main duties of the job

Active Against Cancer is a unique and cutting-edge service that helps cancer patients improve their physical activity levels to reduce fatigue, anxiety, depression, and improve recovery outcomes. You will work alongside a diverse group of people, including patients, physical trainers, HSFC staff, volunteers, and fundraisers, contributing directly to enhancing patient care and wellbeing.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide administration support to the AAC team

Work closely with the AAC Care Co-ordinator to manage patient enrolment and attendance

Communicate effectively with patients and team members

Support the smooth delivery of the AAC service
