Team Leader - Admissions

Job summary

Expression of Interest opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to work along side the current team leader in ensuring that the effective and efficient co-ordination of elective waiting list admissions is undertaken, maintaining a high quality service to all users. This will involve validation of waiting lists and liaison with others to maintain efficient waiting times, including appropriate input to the Bluespier theatre system. The post holders will also assist in the day to day running of the office, demonstrating leadership and organisation skills.

Main duties of the job

  1. Day to day management of admissions office staff, including work allocation, checking and evaluating work and identifying training needs. Facilitates training in specific areas of the management of inpatient waiting lists and booking.

Implement the Trust Inpatient Waiting List Policy across the Trust, setting up and maintaining agreed standards for communication with clinicians, patients and GP's.

Ensure that management of inpatient services supports local waiting time targets and that the booking process is integrated into management of these admissions.
