Job summary
As an experienced and autonomous practitioner, the post holder will be providing a highly specialist adult Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service for acute and community clients across the localities of Harrogate & Rural district and Hambleton & Richmondshire districts, with complex swallowing needs. The role includes providing consultative specialist advice, training and support for SLTs working in the field of dysphagia and the training, overseeing and evaluation of instrumental services including videofluroscopy & Fibre-optic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) Service.
Main duties of the job
This post is part of the triumvirate team (Adult SLT Principal, SLT Harrogate Team lead and Service Manager) leading and managing the adult SLT service within the Planned, Surgical & Children's Care directorate. The triumvirate will be responsible and accountable for quality, performance and financial delivery for all elements of their service.
