Job summary

Working closely with all members of the Business Development, Charity and Volunteer team, you will provide administrative support and will be responsible for maintaining high standards of supporter/donor/stakeholder care; ensuring details are stored and managed effectively in our databases and systems. You will provide administrative support for income generation opportunities across the whole team.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will support the Business Development, Charity and Volunteering team to achieve its objectives. The function of this department is to develop new and existing sources of income generation, in line with the Trust's and Charity's strategic objectives.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Support the day to day running of the Business Development, Charity and Volunteer team in an effective and efficient manner, providing admin support to senior colleagues and acting as the first point of contact for supporter interactions (face to face, telephone, post, email) and ensuring enquiries from HDFT ward and department staff are dealt with in a friendly and efficient manner.

Support the administration of our donor relationship and volunteer databases.

Keep detailed records of engagement with stakeholders including individuals, companies and trusts and foundations; guided by the Project Coordinator, produce relevant analytic reports.

Assist the wider Business Development, Charity and Volunteer Team, including to develop the charitys regular giving scheme.

Support third party groups, associations, active challenge participants and schools by providing excellent donor care; dealing with all queries, requests for fundraising merchandise, fundraising materials and any other support they may require in a timely manner.

Support the wider team to manage events. Recruit participants, provide regular support and communications, liaise with event organisers, and ensure targets are reached.

Support the wider team to research and develop the Trusts partnerships

Pursue new fundraising opportunities with a view to increasing income through these community channels (incl. church or school engagement).

Manage and grow the teams social media presence, including posting regular updates on Facebook, TikTok, Instagram and other platforms as appropriate.

Maintain HHCCs website by proactively seeking and posting new content, coordinating and drafting blog posts, and updating fundraising events/opportunities as needed.

Coordinate the production of e-newsletters, posters and internal communications materials.

Regularly handle/process card payments, cash and cheques.

Any other duties as designated by your manager and which are commensurate with the grade.

  • Evidence of continued professional development

  • IT literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and competency in using databases (any) to manage information.
