Job summary
We are delighted to be able to offer an exciting opportunity for a proactive, self-motivated senior SACT nurse to develop their management skills and assist in providing clinical and professional nursing leadership to the haematology/oncology department at the SROMC.
You must be reliable, enthusiastic and passionate about delivering high standards of patient centred care and be a professional role model; ensuring patients receive a positive experience in partnership with the multi-disciplinary team. You will have Haematology/Oncology experience and be SACT competent. Recent experience of SACT delivery in a day case environment is essential. Recent experience of leadership in the SACT arena is desirable.
Main duties of the job
- Provide expertise and leadership in the delivery of SACT within the Trust.
- Act as a role model and mentor to junior members of the SROMC team.
- Support patients and their families through their cancer treatment by providing clinical, emotional and psychological support.
- Work closely with the Unit Manager, Lead SACT Nurse and other members of the cancer MDT to provide safe, high quality, patient-focused care.
