Are you a highly motivated, dynamic, and organised Medical Secretary looking for a new opportunity? We are seeking a team leader for our haematology / oncology secretarial team.
The haematology / oncology secretarial team is a smallfriendly team providing secretarial support to a team of Consultants, Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist teams and the Sir Robert Ogden Macmillan Centre as a whole
As the team leader, you will provide day to day supervision and coordination of the team, ensuring high standards are consistently achieved. Adesire to improve services and develop both yourself and the team is essential.
As a Medical secretary you will provide comprehensive, confidential secretarial and administrative support in our busy department, you will be a great team player, excellent interpersonal skills, and will be able to work under pressure to set deadlines. As such you must already be an experienced Medical Secretary.
The secretarial team is a critical part of cancer services as a whole and plays a large part in ensuring that patients receive high quality and timely care.
Main duties of the job
- Providing secretarial/administration service to the Consultants and medical teams.
- Leading the team using initiative, experience and leadership skills.
- Accurately co-ordinating medical information to expedite the continuing care of patients.
- Taking responsibility for the successful organisation of the Secretarial/PA workload using time management, planning and organising skills.
- Use initiative and maintain a high level of confidentiality and diplomacy at all times without immediate access to line supervision.
