Epidemiology Dental Therapist

Job summary

Applications are invited from enthusiastic Dental Therapists for two full time vacancies covering epidemiology surveys across North Yorkshire & City of York, for the right candidates the work base can be flexible. You will need to have an interest in public health and it is desirable for you to have previous experience within epidemiology, the role will be to undertake the Oral Health Surveys for children.

Training will be provided on the National protocol and clinical criteria as part of the calibration process in the North Yorkshire & City of York , the 2025-2026 survey involves children of 5 years of age who will be examined in their school environment.

Main duties of the job

To collect data and deliver on Oral Health through survey and clinical examinations in line with the NDEP survey programme in accordance with the survey protocol and timescales published.

Develop and maintain effective working relationships with a range of front-line health, education, social care and voluntary agency staff to contribute Information from the surveys which is vital to inform local oral health needs assessments.
