This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Specialist Continence team at HDFT.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated registered practitioner with specialist continence experience to work as a Band 7 Continence Specialist Practitioner.
This is largely a community post so locality work will be required according to service need. This role involves a mixture of working within clinics, home visits, care homes and hospital environment.
The post will allow you to work and lead a specialist service and work with adults to develop individualised treatment programmes to promote continence and develop specialist skills / knowledge and expertise in bladder and bowel dysfunction. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an innovative and forward-thinking community-based team, however you will be required to work alongside colleagues within Harrogate Hospital and liaise with wider MDT colleagues. You will make a valuable contribution to the way local bladder and bowel services are organised and delivered to provide high-quality, cost-effective services to people living in the surrounding localities.

The successful applicant will have a passion for delivering high quality care to people with bladder and bowel dysfunction. You will be dynamic and caring with excellent communication skills as patient education and support is an important component of the job. You will provide bowel, bladder and catheterisation training and act as a source of advice for all specialist related training needs.
Prior experience and an in-depth knowledge of issues in complex bladder and bowel dysfunction is essential as is the promotion of continence care.
