**12 month fixed term position available**

To assist in the operation of the National NHS Procurement Graduate Training Scheme run by Skills Development (Yorkshire and the Humber). This is a nationally recognised scheme open to all Procurement Departments across all NHS organisations in England.

The post holder will take ownership of the candidate liaison, ensuring all candidates receive prompt communication, through either phone call or email. The Graduate Scheme Coordinator is to ensure clear and thorough details are given to candidates throughout the recruitment process. In support of this, the post holder will also be responsible for the upkeep of the website and recording candidate status.

The Graduate Scheme Coordinator will be required to deliver an efficient and competent level of administration, promoting good customer service and effective working relationships. The post holder will assist with various tasks ranging from liaising with HR managers, booking meetings and venues for events, to creating marketing materials to promote the NHS Procurement Graduate Training Scheme. The post holder should have a flexible/adaptable approach to their work in order to meet various deadline and targets.

The post holder will be expected to accept a wide degree of autonomy and flexibility within the remit of post, work independently and use their own judgement and initiative.

Main duties of the job

The Skills Development function is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a training and development programme for Finance, Procurement and Informatics staff from all NHS Organisations throughout the Yorkshire and Humber Region, working closely with the national OneNHSFinance initiative, the national Procurement Skills Development Board and the North Yorkshire and Humber Directors of Informatics Forum (NYHDIF)

The role of the Graduate Scheme Coordinator will be a varied role.

  • To support in the operation of the NHS Procurement Graduate Training Scheme, open to all Procurement Departments across all NHS organisations in England and to help ensure the smooth role out of the scheme throughout the country.
  • Assist with the design and creation of marketing material such as Graduate Guides and PowerPoint presentations
  • Take responsibility for the creation and promotion of the scheme through social media by actively promoting through the Twitter feed, LinkedIn and other social media platforms.
  • To assist in the promotion of the scheme to University careers officers and potential graduates.
  • Be the main point of contact for potential graduates through the application process providing help and guidance where required. Act on own initiative, adapting and making changes to schedules where necessary to accommodate candidates.
  • Take lead in setting up the interview and selection process, including online interviews and assessment centres
