Locum Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
We are looking for a locum consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology to join the team on a 12 month fixed term contract. This post is initially for sickness absence cover, however there may be potential for extension due to increased growth and demand of the Gynaecology and Obstetric services locally.
Main duties of the job
There will be a requirement for Obstetric and Gynaecology on-call for this post on a 1:7.5 basis.
Applicants must have Full GMC Registration with a licence to practice and be on the Specialist register or within 6 months of obtaining registration at the time of interview.
Applicants must have ATSM in Advanced Labour Ward Practice or equivalent experience. Other ATSMs and areas of specialist interest are encouraged and experience in leading Early Pregnancy and Recurrent Miscarriage services would be desirable.
This post will include sessions in both Obstetrics and Gynaecology including antenatal clinics, gynaecology clinics and benign gynaecology operating lists with potential for outpatient hysteroscopy if this is an area of interest.
