About us
"I joined the 6-25 Family Health Team as a staff nurse in May 2023. The move from an acute clinical hospital setting into a public health community setting has been transformative both personally and professionally. What I love about this job is buildingtherapeutic relationships with children and their families to understand and assess their physical, emotional and social needs holistically which is not always possible within a busy, demanding clinical environment. A challenging but most important part of this job ispromotingthe safeguarding and wellbeing of children. Consequently, I am able to receive vital safeguarding supervision from an experienced safeguarding team, peer supervision 3 monthly and vast safeguarding training. Also, there are other invaluable training opportunities available in this job and your continuing professional development, knowledge, skills and competence is seen as a priority. Ialso receive regular 1:1s and appraisals with line managers to ensure appropriate support is in place to promote both my professional development and personal wellbeing. It goes within saying I now have a much better work life balance working within the community."
