Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual with an interest in Cardiology to join our busy and patient friendly team. They will work as part of a multi-skilled, professional team to provide high standards of patient care. Your role will be split between the Harrogate hospital site and the Ripon community hospital site. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing and interpreting ECG's, fitting ambulatory monitors, fitting overnight oximetry, basic lung function tests and providing support for our Consultants in clinic as required. We provide both an in-patient and out-patient services. Previous experience would be desirable, although full training will be provided for the successful candidate.

Main duties of the job

We are a busy out-patents department offering a wide range of both invasive and non-invasive procedures. These include ECG's, 24 hour ECG's, 24 hour BP's, exercise testing, tilt testing, pacemaker follow-ups, echocardiography, respiratory function tests and cardio-calls. We also have a cardiac catheter lab providing coronary angiograms, pacemaker implants.

The main duties for the post are to perform 12 lead ECG, fit 24 hour blood pressures and a variety of ambulatory ECG monitors and basic lung function tests for both inpatient and out patients in a acute hospital setting / the community hospital in Ripon.

The role also involves supporting consultant cardiologists with outpatient clinics and supporting the cardiac physiologists in their clinics.
