Job summary
HDFT are seeking to recruit a motivated and passionate registered Nurse to be part of the innovative 0-19 Service within the HDFT footprint, based within Northumberland.
We are the largest provider of children's public health nursing services in the North East of England providing services that stretch from North Yorkshire up to Northumberland.
We are dedicated to working towards improved public health outcomes for children and families in the footprint, delivering high quality universal and targeted health visiting and school health services to meet the key improvement priorities for the population.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will work as part of children's community health commissioned services supporting the SCPHN (School Nurse), and contributing to the delivery of high quality services for children young people, parents, carers and families working within the framework of the Healthy Child Programme Programme. The post holder will be pro-active in delivering the national and Public Health agendas in response to identified health and social need, working in partnership with other agencies and meet agreed standards, objectives and statutory requirements.

The post holder works as a member of the 0-19 Community Public Health Team, being responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive service which meets the needs of the 5-19 population.
The post holder will participate in delivering Public Health intervention and support to children and families in Northumberland.
