Job summary

Are you an experienced highly motivated individual who's passionate about orthopaedics and providing high standards of care?

We are recruiting a Band 6 Ward Sister to join our friendly team within Trauma and Orthopaedics for 12 months fixed term.

We have a dedicated and supportive multidisciplinary team who pride themselves on providing the highest quality patient focused care.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the job

The post holder will:

  • Be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of care for our patients in the ward.
  • Provide professional, clinical and managerial leadership to nursing staff within the ward.
  • Contribute to managing the nursing and material resources of the ward in a flexible and cost-effective way.
  • Support the Ward Manager.
  • Act as a role model and lead with honesty and integrity
  • Support student nurses and junior staff
